Chinese investors have visited Mama Rachel Ruto Maternity Hospital in Uasin Gishu County, expressing admiration for the quality of healthcare services and modern facilities available at the county-run public health facility.
A delegation of the investors on Monday, August 10, 2026, visited key service areas of the hospital in Eldoret City, where they were briefed on the range of maternal and child health services offered, as well as the facility’s role in improving access to quality healthcare for residents.

The investors commended the County Government of Uasin Gishu for its continued investment in health infrastructure and service delivery, noting the hospital’s impressive standards and potential for further development.
Additionally, the visit provided an opportunity for the delegation to explore possible areas of collaboration and investment aimed at strengthening healthcare services in the county.

The delegation was received by Eldoret City Board Chairperson Alice Kositany, Chief Officers Ambrose Tarus (Clinical Services) and Dr Billy Lubanga (Promotive and Preventive Health).
County Director of Medical Services Dr Evans Kiprotich was also present.
The Chinese delegation was led by Gao Peng, the Deputy General Manager of Smart Energy at Wiscom System.
