President William Ruto has made 10 appointments to the senior ranks of the Executive Office of the President.
In appointments announced on October 14, 2022, the President named Felix Koskei as the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service.
Koskei formerly served as a Cabinet Secretary during President Uhuru Kenyatta’s first term before he was sacked following links to graft in the Ministry of Agriculture that he was heading.
He will now be taking over the Head of Public Service position from Joseph Kinyua.

Former Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok was named the Deputy Chief of Staff.
Katoo Ole Metito, the former Kajiado South Member of Parliament is the new State House Comptroller.

Other key appointments announced by President Ruto include the appointment of Hussein Mohammed as the new State House Spokesperson.
Mohammed who has been serving as Ruto’s communication head takes over from Kanze Dena.
Further, David Mugonyi is the new Head of the Presidential Communication Service.
The Head of State also named several key individuals to lead vital economic dockets.
Economist David Ndii will chair the President’s Council of Economic Advisors while former Finance Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge has been named Senior Advisor and Head of Fiscal Affairs and Budget Policy.
