Mount Kenya University has announced the date on which it will be holding its 27th graduation ceremony.
In a notice on its website, the university noted that the graduation will be held in August.
The brief notice, however, did not indicate where the graduation would be held.
Since its inception, the university’s main campus in Thika has been hosting the graduations at the Graduation Pavilion on Happy Valley grounds along Garissa Road.
When is MKU’s 27th graduation ceremony?
The 27th graduation, slated for August 8, 2025, will likely be held at the same venue.
“We are pleased to inform you that the 27th Graduation Ceremony of Mount Kenya University will be held on Friday, 8th August 2025,” read a notice by Mount Kenya University Registrar, Academic Administration, Dr. Ronald G. Maathai.
“Further details regarding the event will be communicated in due course,” Dr Maathai added.
Mount Kenya University held its 26th graduation ceremony on December 6, 2024.
Established by Prof. Simon Gicharu, MKU is one of Kenya’s most significant private universities.
The university currently maintains 14 campuses spread across major urban areas in Kenya as well as three outside the country – two in Rwanda and one in Kampala, Uganda.
Mount Kenya University (MKU) had a student population of 52,000 as of September 2015.
