NCPB to Lift Rationing of Subsidised Fertiliser to North Rift Farmers

The National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) is set to stop rationing distribution of subsidised fertiliser to farmers.

NCPB imposed the rationing measure due to a shortage of fertiliser that it was witnessing.

Following the arrival of additional 2 million bags of the farm input, farmers will now be able to access all the quantities of fertiliser they need.

Soy Member of Parliament David Kiplagat announced that the rationing will be lifted starting Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

I am pleased to inform our farmers that this consignment includes OCP fertilizer, offering greater choice and suitability for different soil needs.
