The fourth rounds of the FKF National Women Super League was played was played over the weekend across the country.
In the league’s Zone B, teams from Nyanza region registered big wins against their counterparts from the North Rift.
On Saturday, Nyanza’s Kisped registered a whopping 6-1 win against Kitale’s Royal Starlets while at Uasin Gishu Primary School Grounds, hosts Gene Queens suffered a 4-1 loss against Homabay’s Gideons Starlets on Sunday afternoon.
Gene Queens are yet to win a match in the League. The weekend’s loss was their third consecutive since the start of the league.

Kevin Mafuta, the Gene Queens head coach acknowledged facing an uphill task in this season.
“The league is competitive and my team is just jelling having lost some key players last season,” he said.
Optimism for Gene Queens
Mafuta however expressed optimism that he is on course to improve on the team’s performance in near future.
He further pointed out that it’s too early to judge the fate of the league.
“I’ve got no pressure at all with these results. In the coming days, we are going to turn around things and pull some surprises to our supporter,” he added.

Meanwhile, Gideons Starlet’s Head Coach Yohan Ogada said their win returned his side to title race. This is after dismissal performance a fortnight ago.
“We lost to Kisumu All Starlets after taking a 2-0 lead and today we had to work on our concentration in the match through to the end,” he said.
Elsewhere in Moi Stadium, Kisumu, another Monica Etot hat trick sank visiting Eldoret Falcons in a game played on Sunday afternoon.
Etot was also on a hat-trick as the visitors secured a 3-2 win away at Opanga Primary School two weeks ago.
Kisumu All Starlets remain the only unbeaten team in the National Women Super League Zone B. They sit top of the log with 12 points from four matches while Gideons Starlets and Kisped follow up closely having both lost to league leaders.
