The County Government of Uasin Gishu has announced a 100 percent waiver on penalties and interest accrued on outstanding land rates, offering relief to property owners across the county.

In a public notice issued under the authority of Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii Chelilim, the county said the waiver is aimed at encouraging residents to clear their pending land rate balances without the burden of additional charges.

According to the notice, the waiver applies strictly to penalties and interest, on condition that property owners fully settle the principal land rates owed.

The county emphasized that the offer is time-bound and will expire on April 30, 2026.

In addition, the county government extended the deadline for Single Business Permit (SBP) payments to the same date, giving business owners more time to comply.

Residents have been encouraged to make payments through digital platforms or physical offices.

Payments can be made conveniently via SisiboPay or by dialing *764#, then selecting option 4. You may also visit the County Service Centre or your nearest Ward Office,” the notice read.

County officials further urged property owners to take advantage of the waiver period to avoid possible enforcement measures after the deadline.

The initiative is part of broader efforts by the county to enhance revenue collection while easing the financial burden on residents.

It comes days after the launch of Leseni Mashinani, a grassroots revenue mobilization campaign aimed at enhancing service delivery and strengthening engagement between the county government and residents.
