Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Evans Kapkea Challenges Youth to Take Advantage of NYOTA Programme

Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Evans Kapkea has called on the youth to actively engage with government programs and take full advantage of the numerous opportunities designed to empower them.

Kapkea noted that both the national and county governments have prioritised youth empowerment initiatives, making it essential for young people to step up and utilise these opportunities for their personal and economic growth.

He highlighted that the administrations led by President Dr William Ruto and Governor Dr Jonathan Bii have rolled out various programs aimed at uplifting and empowering the youth.

How is Uasin Gishu County empowering the youth?

In Uasin Gishu County, for instance, we have Fanikisha Hustle as among startup loans for young entrepreneurs, agricultural training programs, youth-reserved tenders, and sports initiatives designed to help young people monetise their talents,” said the Deputy Governor.

Kapkea made the remarks on Monday during a sensitisation forum for the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) program held in Eldoret City.
