Yunita Kibor, the youngest wife to the late Uasin Gishu businessman, politician, and farmer Jackson Kibor is now accusing the family of attempting to disinherit her.
She is also claiming that her life is in danger.
In a media briefing at her home in Chepkoilel, on the outskirts of Eldoret town on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, Yunita said the other family members of her late husband have already taken some of the properties she was given, among them, cows.
“Wanataka kila kitu yenye mzee alitupatia. Wanasema kila kitu yenye wanataka watachukua kwa nguvu,” she said.

This loosely translates to, “They want everything that Mzee Kibor left for me. They’re saying anything they want, they will take by force.”
The youngest wife of Mzee Kibor further claimed she was being disturbed by other family members, sidelining her in family issues, aside from constant insults from Mzee Kibor’s daughter, whom she did not name.
“They don’t want us to make peace as a family. It is now just me and my young children,” she said.
Yunita is one of the four wives that Mzee Kibor married, and she now says there are even attempts by some of the late children and grandchildren to take over her house.

“Even as I speak now, there are some children and grandchildren who want to wash my house because they say they want to occupy it,” she noted.
Row over Mzee Kibor’s properties comes barely a month after his burial.
The controversial farmer and politician was laid to rest on April 1, 2022, at her rural home in Kabenes Soy Sub County.
He was among the wealthy farmers in the North Rift region and is believed to have owned thousands of acres of land that spread across various counties.

It was reported that Mzee Kibor made peace with his family members – many of whom he had fights with over his properties – especially his sons.
He is said to have shared all his properties before his death with each of his sons getting over 400 acres of land and daughters being allocated at least 200 acres, among other properties.
