Billionaire businessman Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop popularly known as Buzeki has promised to ensure at least 300 youth from Uasin Gishu are taken abroad every year.
This, Buzeki says, is one of the initiatives he plans to roll out if he becomes the next governor of Uasin Gishu County.
Buzeki will be vying for the county’s top seat in the August 2022 general election.

Speaking at his home when he hosted youth from Ainabkoi Sub County, the businessman turned politician also said his government will set up a county industrial park to create employment.
“We agreed come next year, after we form government, we will embark on the ambitious program to ensure that our youth have a gainful employment. We will set up a county industrial park to create employment and undertake to send over 300 youth abroad every year,” Buzeki said.
Further, he pledged to also set up business incubation centers and innovations hubs for young people to try new ideas.

During the meeting, Buzeki interacted with the youth from Ainabkoi, sharing ideas on how to increase opportunities for employment and investments.
“It was humbling to listen to their suggestions on what leaders ought to do for them,” noted the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant.
Buzeki will be vying for the gubernatorial seat for the second time.

This is after he was unsuccessful in his first attempt during the 2017 general election where he lost to Governor Jackson Mandago.
He has not yet announced through which party he will be vying for the seat, having already quit Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) where he was the Secretary General.
The Uasin Gishu gubernatorial contest has attracted a number of household names among the current Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany, Kenya’s Ambassador to Pakistan Prof. Julius Bitok and Jonathan Bii Chelilim, alias ‘Koti Moja’.

Others are former SRC Chairperson Sarah Serem, Nairobi Devolution CECM Veska Kangogo, Ng’enyilel MCA David Sing’oei and former Eldoret South MP Peris Simam.
