With just over a year before Kenyans go to the polls to elect new leaders, several individuals eying various seats have already hit the ground running.
In Uasin Gishu, one of the seats likely to draw attention is the County Woman Member of Parliament, popularly known as the woman rep.
Incumbent Gladys Boss Shollei recently hinted that she will be seeking another term. Shollei was first elected to the seat in 2017, taking over from Eusila Ng’eny. She was re-elected for a second term in 2022. Until recently, it remained unclear whether she was still in the race.
With her confirmation that she will be eyeing a third consecutive term, the battle for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket will be fierce.
