Chepsaita Cross Country Results: Vincent Kibet, Gloria Chebogogo Win Junior Races

Vincent Kibet and Gloria Chebogogo are the 2025 Chepsaita Cross Country run winners for the 14-15 years boys and girls categories, respectively.

Kibet crossed the finish line at 12:39 ahead of Raphael Kiptoo, who was second (13:06,) and Kiplangat Gideon finished third with a time of 13:17.

The race had 571 athletes who registered to participate.

In the girls’ race, Jebogogo clocked 14:43 to win the race ahead of Ruth Muthoni (14:46) and Faith Cherotich, who was third with a time of 14 minutes and 57 seconds.

Naomi Chepkwemoi (14:58) and Shael Chepkurui (15:00) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

In the 11-13 girls 2km category, Sheila Chepkoech was the winner with (7:16) while
Luscious Kemei Peter won the boys category with a time of 06:47.

There were 677 registrations for the boys 11-13 years category and 838 in the girls category.

Other races set for later in the day are the U20 (6km) and senior men and women.

Winners of the U20 category will be sponsored to accompany team Kenya to the World Cross Country Championship in Florida, United States of America, aside from the Ksh 300,000 cash prize.

The prize money for the senior races was increased to KSh 750,000 for each category, making Chepsaita Cross Country the highest-paying in the world.
