Why rise in fire incidents within Uasin Gishu

The rise in fires has been linked to the prevailing dry season that has also been worsened by the windy conditions.

Meanwhile, the county government of Uasin Gishu has urged various stakeholders to participate in the ongoing awareness initiatives to help prevent such incidents.

In addition, the Governor Dr Jonathan Bii-led administration continues to remind residents to use the county’s emergency numbers—0710646464, 0532061185, or 0706389888—to report any fire incidents and provide accurate information to ensure a swift response.

With the current dry and windy conditions increasing fire risks, we urge the public to raise an immediate alarm for a swift response,” said Bii.
