The Uasin Gishu County Department of Youth Affairs and Sports is closely monitoring the construction progress of the County Multi-Purpose Hall in Racecoure Ward.
Speaking as he inspected the project on Tuesday, January 14, 2024, Chief Officer for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mark Some, lauded the progress of the project.
So far so good, and the contractor says at this pace, roofing will be undertaken by June or July.”
CO Some said the hall will provide platforms for the youth to act plays, produce videos and other artistic works. There will be courts for indoor and some outdoor games.

“Youth empowerment is a crucial pillar in the governance of H.E Governor Jonathan Bii,” he said.
“Owing to this, the Department (of Youth Affairs and Sports) is keeping the contractor on toes to ensure it is completed in time,” said Some.
The project is expected to be completed by October 2025. It will be a game changer in supporting monetization of youth talents.
