Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi on Saturday, August 29, 2026, yet again shared a glimpse of his dairy operation in Kapseret, using it to make a case for agricultural diversification amid the current dry spell.
In a Facebook post accompanied by photos of him checking on his dairy cows at his farm in Uasin Gishu County, Sudi said the season is a lesson for farmers who rely solely on crops.
“This dry season is a clear reminder why diversification matters for farmers. A few dairy cows on conserved fodder can still give you daily milk and income when crops can’t. These are the lessons we need to learn going into the future for food security,” the MP wrote.
The photos show the legislator inspecting cattle in zero-grazing units on his farm, widely known as OS Dairies.
Sudi has over the years showcased the farm, which houses dozens of dairy cattle and calves and operates large fodder storage including maize silage.
The farm is a major supplier of raw milk to the New Kenya Cooperative Creameries (KCC) and was previously recognized by the processor as a leading supplier.
The vocal MP, who represents a constituency in Uasin Gishu County, often referred to as Kenya’s breadbasket, has been advocating for modern farming techniques and value addition to improve farmers’ livelihoods.
