Soy United Football Club are the new Karamoja Super Cup champions.
The Soy-based club beat Samitsi FC 1-0 a tightly contested final staged at Samitsi grounds in Kakamega County on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
Mohammed Wangai scored the only goal of the game on the 17th minute following a superbly worked out cross from Peter Okello.
Following the win, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Division One side went home with Ksh 500,000 cash prize while Samitsi FC were awarded Ksh 250,000.

It is the first time that Soy United FC have won the Karamoja Super Cup which was in its 6th edition.
On the other hand, Samitsi FC are the competition’s two-time winners.
They won the inaugural edition in 2019 and followed up with the second in 2021.
How Soy United FC reached Karamoja Super Cup finals
Soy United have been in a good form at the FKF Division One League.
However, they were pushed to the post-match penalty shootout by Milimani FC in the semifinal, eventually winning 4-2.
On their way to the final, Samitsi FC triumphed over last year’s winners Chombeli FC in the semis, winning by a solitary goal in the hard-fought match.
Other past winners of the Karamoja Super Cup are Lirhembe Arsenal and Chambeli FC.
The two sides emmered champions in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
