The State Department for Diaspora Affairs has announced teaching jobs in the Caribbean for Kenyan degree and diploma holders under the government’s Kazi majuu Programme.
Interested and qualified individuals have until July 18, 2025, to submit their applications.
The program targets qualified nationals for overseas placement through a regulated and fee-free process.
Kazi Majuu Programme
Kazi Majuu Programme, an initiative of the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, is managed by the Diaspora Placement Agency, which is the only authorised recruiter for the positions.
“Opportunities for teachers in the Caribbean! If you’re a qualified teacher interested in working abroad, apply here for the Government-to-Government program,” posted the State Department for Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu.
According to the government, the aim of the initiative is to connect skilled Kenyans with international job openings, promote safe labour migration, and ensure that applicants are recruited through a transparent and fee-free process.
The available positions cover education-based areas, and successful applicants will be deployed to teach or offer services in a wide range of fields.
The fields listed included agriculture, air conditioning and refrigeration, auto mechanics, automotive technology, carpentry, construction, electrical installation, plumbing, mathematics, chemistry, physics, Spanish, special education, technical drawing, and welding.
In addition, the programme is open to individuals who are trained and experienced in these fields and are ready to work under formal employment arrangements.
Who qualifies for the Caribbean teaching job?
To be considered, applicants must be Kenyan citizens with a degree, diploma, or postgraduate diploma in education, depending on the subject area.
Those applying for the specific teaching jobs must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Applicants are also required to provide an updated CV, a valid Kenyan ID or passport bio-data page, and copies of relevant academic certificates.
All documents must be submitted as part of the application package to be reviewed by the recruitment team.
