KCB Launches Mortgage Scheme for KDF Officers

KCB in collaboration with the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) have joined hands to launch a dedicated mortgage scheme designed to make home ownership more accessible and affordable for military personnel.

Working closely with the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, as well as the Affordable Housing Board, the move will bring members of the military under the Civil Servants Housing Mortgage Scheme to expand access to mortgage financing to the service.

The initiative will onboard over 50,000 active KDF personnel into the Civil Servants Housing Mortgage Scheme, enabling eligible officers to access mortgage financing at a concessional interest rate of 4% per annum, with repayment periods of up to 20 years, in line with the scheme guidelines.

Speaking during the launch, KCB Group Managing Director, Annastacia Kimtai said:

Through this partnership, we are making that aspiration more attainable for Kenya Defence Forces personnel by providing affordable financing solutions that respond to their unique needs.

The partnership advances access to home ownership for Kenya Defence Forces personnel while contributing to growth across the housing value chain through increased investment in residential development.
