Officials from the Kenya Airways were on Friday in Eldoret to capture the beauty of the town that can be showcased as a tourism attraction to potential travellers.
The officials were hosted by the County Government of Uasin Gishu’s Department of Trade, Industrialization, Tourism, Cooperatives and Enterprise Development.
It’s a visit that comes as the Pride of Africa is set to reinstate their flights to the city of champions.
An inaugural launch of the Eldoret route has since been scheduled for March 25th.

Upon the launch, the Eldoret Airport will be the 4th domestic destination in the country for the national carrier.
The KQ flights are also expected to operate on the Eldoret route 5 times a week to and from the country’s capital, Nairobi.
Why KQ is resuming flights to Eldoret
According to Mumbua Ndeto, the KQ Communications Manager, the reinstatement was informed by among others the demand for business in Eldoret town, their intent to increase connectivity from Nairobi and other parts of the network as well the component of the city status.

Uasin Gishu’s Eldoret Town is the fastest-growing investment hub in the North Rift region characterized by the consistent provision of a conducive and secure business environment.
The region is also known for its excellent climate, investment opportunities, agricultural abundance, medical prowess, tourism appeal, the fifth city and home to the celebrated athletes.
Among the tourists destinations being earmarked for the KQ showcasing include the Eldoret Arboretum as well as Athletics rich.
