Kenya’s U17 women’s national team is set for another regional assignment after being drawn in Group A of the 2026 CECAFA U17 Women’s Championship.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from June 13–23, 2026, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, bringing together some of the region’s top emerging young talents.
Kenya has been pooled alongside hosts Tanzania, Somalia, and Sudan in what promises to be a competitive group stage campaign.
The championship will provide an important platform for the Junior Starlets to continue gaining international exposure and competitive experience.
The CECAFA U17 Women’s Championship is aimed at nurturing young talent and strengthening women’s football across East and Central Africa, while also offering teams valuable preparation opportunities for continental competitions.
