The Kenya School of Flying (KSOF), in partnership with the University of Eastern Africa Baraton (UEAB), has officially launched the Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management Degree for Pilots.
This latest partnership marks a major milestone in the advancement of Kenya’s aviation training and capacity development.
The event was held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) headquarters.
Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) chairman Caleb Kositany, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
This partnership brings together two ventres of excellence, UEAB in higher education and KSOF in pilot training, to strengthen Kenya’s aviation talent pipeline.
The programme blends rigorous academic learning with hands-on flight training to produce market-ready, ethical, and globally competitive aviation professionals.
Speaking at the event, Kositany hailed the initiative as “more than a degree, but a national asset,” noting that it will support airline operations, improve safety systems, drive innovation, create jobs, and elevate Kenya’s aviation standing.
“Our infrastructure and airports are only as strong as the people who run them. Today, we are investing in exactly those people,” he said.
The programme also helps address ICAO’s projected global shortfall of licensed pilots, positioning Kenya as a leader in aviation capacity building.
“KAA congratulates UEAB and KSOF for this visionary partnership and their commitment to shaping the future of aviation in Kenya,” the agency said in a statement.
