It has been 48 years of unresolved land tussle between the Kenya Defence Forces and the residents of Kiplombe ward, Turbo Sub-County.

But March 28, 2024 marked an end of an era as the Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale outlined an amicable solution to give titles to the residents while KDF protects its boundaries and ensure that they keep a peaceful coexistence with the neighbourhood.

CS Duale reflecting on the years of conflicts that the residents have endured said that, the President’s intention is to see solutions to such issues resolved immediately for peaceful coexistence of his people.

We are here to assure the People of Kiplombe that the journey of preparing the titles has officially started and this the president himself is keen on the process. I want to ask the residents to refrain from cartels and Land grabbers claiming to have the titles for this land,” Duale said.

We have agreed as the Defence Forces that we shall resolve all land disputes with our neighbours at Uasin-Gishu, Isiolo, Marsabit and other areas where we have our Baracks and Military installations.
