The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the opening of its portal for students to apply for degree and diploma courses.
In the announcement made on Friday, March 28, 2025, The Placement Service said its portal was open for students seeking to join universities, Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) institutions, as well as Teachers Training Colleges (TTCs).
Who is eligible to apply through the KUCCPS portal?
According to the agency, the portal is open for 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates to apply for degree courses.
In addition, individuals who sat for KCSE 2000 and 2024 can also apply to join TVETs or TTCs.
Applications for degree or diploma courses can only be done through the KUCCPS portal.
ATTENTION 2024 KCSE COHORT! You can now apply for degree courses via the @KUCCPS_Official portal. Log in to http://students.kuccps.net and apply,” the agency announced.
The deadline for the first phase of the application has been set for April 21, 2025.
KUCCPS has opened its portal weeks after completion of the application for students wishing to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the March intake.
Successful applicants have since reported to their various KMTC colleges.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service is an agency of the Government of Kenya established under the Universities Act of 2012.
It is the only institution mandated to process applications and place students to various universities, TVETs, TTCs and KMTC.
