Kathleen Kurgat scored a hat trick as Moi Girls High School, Eldoret beat Ngeria Girls 3-1 in a rematch final played on Wednesday afternoon at Hill School.
Kurgat opened the scores in the third minute with a solo run, beating Ngeria’s defence to slot in a grass cutter.
The defending champions held on to the lead to the half time before Kurgat made it a double moments after the restart, tapping a deflection from the Ngeria’s goalkeeper.

Ngeria responded three minutes later through Ayor Mading’s shot having dribbled through the compact midfield.
But Kurgat wasn’t done with her attacks as the speedy right flank player dropped another volley past the opponent’s goalkeeper to seal the victory for her school.
AIC Ndabarnach banned
Moi Girls will now represent Uasin Gishu County at the regional games slated for next week in Laikipia.
The soccer girls final had to be replayed after both Moi Girls and Ngeria Girls successfully appealed against AIC Ndabarnach Secondary School.
They accused the team of fielding an ineligible player at the county championship last weekend.

AIC Ndabarnach had on Saturday beat Moi Girls 4-2 on post-match penalties after a 1-1 draw in the semi-finals before seeing off Ngeria 1-0 in the finals to win the soccer title.
But following the success, the team has since been banned for the next two years.
Moi Girls High School Head coach Robert Simiyu expressed his happiness having won the match and said he is now focusing on the regional tournament.
“We are preparing for the regional games for this year hoping to produce better results this year after finishing third last year,” he said.
On his part, Ngeria Girls head coach Charles Kimeli thanked his players for having put their all into the match despite the loss.
“We really tried. The girls are fatigued having faced tough fixtures through to the finals and the girls held through another match,” he said.

Moi Girls now joins other Uasin Gishu teams that will be heading to Laikipia.
Mwiruti Secondary School will be representing the county in the soccer games.
Tuiyo Secondary School will represent the county in Volleyball men while Newlight is the Volleyball girl’s representative.
St Michael Kipsombe is the county Rugby champion and is also heading to Laikipia for the regional games.
