MTRH Ranked Best Health SAGA, 5th Nationally in Govt Performance Evaluation

Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital has been ranked the Best Semi-Autonomous Government Agency in the Health Sector Working Group and 5th overall nationally in the latest government performance evaluation.

The hospital achieved the top health sector position and fifth overall during the Evaluation of the Performance of Ministries, State Corporations, and Tertiary Institutions for the Financial Year 2024/2025, according to a Facebook statement released by MTRH.

Chief Executive Officer Dr. Philip Kirwa said the ranking reflects the institution’s commitment to service delivery.

This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence, accountability, and quality service delivery. I thank the Board of Management for its invaluable support which has made this milestone possible,” Dr. Kirwa said.

He also extended appreciation to MTRH staff, patients, partners, and the community for their role in the outcome. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff, patients, partners, stakeholders, and the community for their continued trust and dedication,” he added.

MTRH said it will use the milestone to strengthen specialized healthcare and support government priorities.

As we celebrate this milestone, we remain dedicated to enhancing specialized healthcare services and advancing the Government’s BETA Agenda through innovation, efficiency, and patient-centered care,” the statement read.

The annual performance evaluation assesses government institutions on service delivery, accountability, and efficiency targets set at the start of each financial year.
