Uasin Gishu is one of the 47 counties in the country. The county whose capital is Eldoret town is divided into six constituencies and 30 wards.
Following the recently concluded August 9 general election, the county has a number of new leaders.
The new governor is Jonathan Bii Chelilim alias Koti Moja who takes over from Jackson Mandago.
Mandago who served as the governor for two terms since 2013 has been elected the Senator while the County Woman Member of Parliament remains Gladys Boss Shollei.
