The County Government of Uasin Gishu is continuing with various infrastructure projects aimed at promoting a 24-hour economy and improving the livelihoods of the residents.

Among the projects is the ongoing installation of High Masts Flood Lights.

The project seeks to improve security by providing lighting and maintaining street lights across the entire county, especially in trading centres.

These, the county hopes, will enable traders to operate for longer hours without fear of insecurity.

Improving the working environment for traders was among the campaign pledges that Governor Jonathan Bii made to the people under his Nguzo Kumi manifesto.

Apart from the routine maintenance of the street lighting across the County, the energy section team has also been undertaking inspections of the ongoing installation of High Masts Flood Lights.

The projects are ongoing in Xcallan Village in Moisbridge Ward, Soy Sub County, Munyaka Village in Kapsoya Ward, Ainabkoi Sub County and Shauri Yako estate in Huruma Ward.
