Oscar Sudi Asks Uasin Gishu Locals To Vote Out Gladys Boss in 2027

Kapseret Member of Parliament has sparked another politician storm after suggesting that Uasin Gishu County Woman Member of Parliament Gladys Boss Shollei does not deserve re-election in 2027.

Shollei has served in the position for two consecutive terms.

Despite being considered a key ally of President William Ruto, Sudi, also the Presidents ally asked locals to vote her out in the coming general election.

Speaking during a public event in Kesses Sub-County on Sunday, May 31, 2026, the vocal legislator claimed Shollei had lost touch with the locals.

He also sided with the County Government of Uasin Gishu following recent clash over distribution of milk coolers.

Milk coolers is a function of the county. You cannot come and fight them over that,” Sudi said in response to an recent incident where locals chased Shollei away as she attempted to flag off milk coolers to farmers’ cooperatives.

The National Assembly Deputy Speaker accused governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim of using goons to attack her.

Meanwhile, Sudi intensified his fight with Senator Jackson Mandago and hinted at supporting former Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker Isaac Terer to unseat him.

Terer unsuccessfully vied for the Kesses MP seat in 2022. He has however set his eyes on the Senate seat, currently being held by Mandago.

We want leaders we will work together and support our people,” he added, accusing Mandago and other elected leaders in the county of leaving him to handle many financial needs of the locals.
