Improved road networks that have helped reduce the cost of doing business by easily linking farmers to the market and ensuring a tremendous economic transformation of the people have been cited among the key factors attracting investors to Eldoret town.
The Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works has done significant work in the construction of new roads to bitumen standards, grading and gravelling of existing roads, construction of culverts and rehabilitation of drainage systems by the county government across the County.

Having graded and gravelled over 800 Kilometers of roads in the ongoing rapid results initiative in all the Sub-Counties in the last three months, the County Government of Uasin Gishu still prioritizes investment in road infrastructure as engineers, inspectors and surveyors embarked on reviewing the challenges to scale up the implementation of the projects to realize the required targets by Governor Jonathan Bii.
Reports indicate a steady increase of about 5 per cent of the population in Eldoret town.
However, according to the Kenya Bureau of Statistics, the metro area population of Eldoret in 2022 was 428,000, showing a 4.14 per cent increase from 2021.

Among the projects completed in the past month include; Ilula Primary-Kimumu road in Kapsoya Ward, Ainabkoi Sub County and Mariakani-Kona Kubwa-Kapsoya Secondary school road in Kapsoya Ward, Ainabkoi Sub County.
Others are Tingwa-Kapchemno road in Ainabkoi Olare Ward, Ainabkoi Sub County.
