President William Ruto will embark on a three-day working tour of Nandi County next week as part of the build-up activities to this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations set for Kipchoge Keino Stadium in Eldoret.
This year’s Mashujaa Day will be co-hosted by three North Rift counties – Nandi, Elgeyo Marakwet and Uasin Gishu.
According to a programme released by the Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, the President’s tour will run from Monday, October 12 to Sunday, October 18, 2026, covering all six constituencies.
The tour kicks off on Monday, October 12, 2026, in Tinderet and Aldai constituencies. In Tinderet, the President will visit Maraba Hospital and the Maraba ESP Market, while in Aldai he will tour the Kaptumo ESP Market and inspect the Kaptumo Affordable Housing Project.
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the President will head to Mosop and Nandi Hills constituencies.

Which projects will Ruto launch in Mosop?
In Mosop, he is scheduled to launch the Kaiboi ESP Market, visit Kaiboi National Polytechnic and commission roads. In Nandi Hills, he will visit Koitalel Samoei University and commission roads in the constituency.
The tour will climax on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Chesumei and Emgwen constituencies. In Chesumei, Ruto will visit the Kapsabet ACK Plaza and commission Kapsabet Town roads.
In Emgwen, he will commission the Kapsabet Mother and Baby Hospital, commission more Kapsabet Town roads, inspect Kapsabet Stadium and hold a major rally and public address at Kapsabet Town, which is expected to mark the end of his Nandi tour before he heads to Eldoret for Mashujaa Day.
The Nandi tour is seen as part of the government’s efforts to showcase its key projects under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), including Affordable Housing, Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP) markets, university infrastructure and road upgrades ahead of the national celebrations.
