Several people are feared dead following a grisly road accident near Outspan area on the outskirts of Eldoret town, Sunday afternoon.
The accident which occured along Eldoret-Nakuru Highway is said to have involved a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) belonging to Burnt Forest Matatu Sacco and a Saloon Car.
An eyewitness told Uasin Gishu News that the two cars were heading in the opposite direction when the collided.
“From what I have counted, I have seen one dead body and at least six that have been injured,” said the eye witness.
“The accident occured past Jamboni, near Outspan,” he added.
Those injured have been taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) for treatment by well-wishers.
The number of occupants in the Matatu and the saloon car at the time of the accident is still unclear.
