Several political leaders have taken to their social media pages to celebrate the sterling performances of their children.
In Uasin Gishu, Soy Member of Parliament David Kiplagat was among the politicians who had candidates who sat for the 2023 KCSE results.
Kiplagat in a post on Facebook revealed that his son – Denley KipKoech – was among the over 1,200 candidates that scored a straight A.
Kipkoech sat for his KCSE at Kabarak High School – a prominent private school owned by the family of former President the late Daniel Moi.
“Special Congratulations to My Son Denley KipKoech Lagat for Having scored a straight A in the Just released KCSE Exams. You have made us proud and once again congratulations,” the legislator said.
Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale also had a child sitting for KCSE last year.
Khalwale revealed that the child – a daughter – was a student at St Brigdits High School, Kiminini in Trans Nzoia County.
She scored a mean Grade of B+ (plus).
“Congratulations, Gift Atubukha Khalwale!” the Senator posted on his social media pages.
“I want to thank my family, the entire St Brigids High School-Kiminini fraternity, and above all, God for supporting my little Tubu to this milestone,” he added.

Still in Kakamega County, Navakholo MP Emanuel Wangwe is also celebrating the exemplary performance of his son.
Wangwe’s son – Kelly Kaula Wangwe scored a straight A of 82 points. He was a 2023 KCSE candidate at Moi High School Kabarak.
Lamu Governor Issa Timamy is another politician who had a KCSE candidate.
The candidate – Abdallah Issa Timamy, also had a mean Grade of A.
