The government has put in place comprehensive security and traffic management measures to ensure smooth movement of people and vehicles during the upcoming Mashujaa Day celebrations in Eldoret.
Speaking at a media briefing on Monday, Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Abdi Hassan said all necessary preparations were finalised to ensure the safety of residents, guests, and dignitaries expected to attend the national celebrations at the Uasin Gishu County Stadium.
Hassan urged motorists to cooperate with traffic officers and strictly follow designated alternative routes and diversion signs established to ease congestion around the event venue.
“We have put in place comprehensive traffic management and security measures to ensure smooth, safe and orderly movement during the celebrations,” he said.

According to the Regional Commissioner, traffic signs for diversions have already been installed along key roads, while adequate numbers of police officers will be deployed to guide motorists and maintain order.
