The outgoing team, which was praised by all speakers for enhancing democracy and transparency in the running of the scheme, challenged the new officials to reach out to register more members.
“As you are aware the number of members of the scheme has been decreasing due to natural attrition, retirement, and resignation from service. We want you to work hard to recruit as many members as possible,” said Sefania Salambo, the outgoing vice chairman.
The meeting was also attended by Uasin Gishu County Government Workers Union branch officials led by Isaac Kiptallam (chairman) Hassan Wangwero (branch Secretary) and Winnie Tenai as well as Rose Winnie Tenai and Rose Maiyo, the county union women’s representative.
