After several months of stalling, works on the multi-million-shilling ACK Plaza project have resumed.
The Ksh 1.1 billion project was officially launched in December 2021 by Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit.
Initially planned to be a six-storey building, the project had stalled at the second floor for over a year.
A site visit by Uasin Gishu News on Monday, March 16, 2026, however shows that workers are back, with now focus being on painting and final touches in what suggests is a change in plan.

Painting for the frontal of the commercial building located next to Zion Mall has started with similar work also ongoing on the sides of the structure.
Construction of the main gate has also started.
The project, fully financed by ACK is part of the church’s effort to be self sustaining.
“We are looking at the project to enable us to be institutionally stable and sustainable by engaging in resource mobilisation through our own means so that we cut on overdependence on donations,” Ole Sapit said during the groundbreaking of the project.
“We are not saying we don’t want donations but what we are doing is to have something of our own,” he added.
When complete, ACK Plaza is expected to house supermarkets, retail businesses, eateries and offices.

Works on the project resumes as construction of the St John’s Amani Centre are almost complete.
The Ksh 420 million project is being financed by the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret.
