Three matches will be played on Sunday at the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) – two of them involving women teams.

Bungoma Queens will be hoping to secure a ticket to the women’s Premier League as they face Women’s Division One zone A’s runners up Uweza ladies early in the day.

Bungoma finished second in Zone B log ahead of Kisped and Gideon’s Starlets.

Further, 2022 Women Division One champions Kibera Girls Soccer team will face Zone B champions Soccer assassin’s at midday.

Kibera failed to get promoted to the Women’s Premier League last season even after seeing off Kitale based side – Royal Starlets on post match penalties.

This is after FKF declined to recognise the league that was then run by a caretaker committee that had been appointed by then Sports Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohammed.

As a result, the season did not have promotions or relegations to the Premier League.

In the clash of the champions from the two zones, Madira secondary School’s soccer Assassins are out to grab the overall Women Division One title with tough matches lined up before and after Kibera’s duel.

The high school girl’s team will then return to national games that will staged in Kakamega as from Monday.

They qualified to the nationals despite finishing second in the Western regional secondary school games.
