Ascend Fidelity: SACCO Targeting Students Desiring to Study Abroad Launched in Eldoret

Students eyeing to study abroad but have tuition fee and bank statements challenges now have a reason to smile.

This follows the opening of Ascend Fidelity Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (SACCO) which has study abroad tailor-made loan facilities after saving for a period of six months.

The Eldoret-based SACCO received it’s registration certificate and was launched in Eldoret City on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Speaking exclusively to the Uasin Gishu News, Innocent Kipkemboi Paluget, the founder and Director of One Team Career Coaches said the SACCO aims to make study abroad more accessible to Kenyans.

As an agency, we have seen many parents struggle to raise tuition fees for their children to study in abroad. Many of them have sold their lands, livestock and other assets. We thought and came up with this solution,” Kipkemboi said.

He further noted that that the SACCO will make it easy for parents to get the needed huge bank statements for their children to travel and study in abroad.

This is a great milestone for our people. Out of desire to see their children study abroad, many parents have been reduced to beggars because they are asked to produce bank statements running upto in excess of Ksh. 6 million; Ascend Fidelity SACCO will solve that,” he stated.

Kipkemboi urged Kenyans to register with the SACCO and buy shares.

He also called on Kenyans in diaspora to consider investing their remittances in the SACCO.

With just Ksh.1,000, you are good to become a member. Once you are a member, you can then buy shares and receive dividends at the end of every year,” Kipkemboi appealed.

The launch was attended by David Kibor, the Central Bank of Kenya Eldoret Regional Manager, Deputy Cooperatives Manager Drusila Cherogony and the SACCO supervisor, Gladys Chepkemoi.
