Concord Girls Renamed Edward Limo Educational Centre

Concord Girls High School in Eldoret town has officially been renamed Edward Limo Educational Centre.

A colorful ceremony for the unveiling of the new name was held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the center’s grounds on the outskirts of Eldoret town.

Renowned gospel musician Emmy Kosgey graced the rebranding of the school to Edward Limo Educational Centre.

The rebranding was in honor of Edward and Taphrotha Limo, who had a passion for the education of the youth.

They donated 24 acres of the land where the now Edward Limo Educational Centre sits.

With the rebranding, the school is repositioning itself to offer futuristic courses to the Girls of Kenya and the world.

Some of the areas the school will now be offering include Artificial Intelligence, Sports Science, Women’s Health, and Agriculture amongst other areas.

Aside from offering the current 8-4-4 system, Edward Limo Educational Centre will be receiving the first batch of junior secondary school students under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Digital learning, entrepreneurship training, and French learning are other education programs at the school.

The school which started in January 2015 currently has 70 students.

It has had its students sit for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations three times, and the upcoming one in March will be the first.

In the first KCSE examination in 2018, the school attained a mean score of 4.4 while in 2019 and 2021 it attained a mean of 5.2 and 5.4 respectively.
