For the last few years, Eldoret has quickly been turning into an entertainment hub.
The town has witnessed a surge in the number of entertainment joints that most locals noted had replaced the numerous crusades that would be held on a regular basis in the past.
So popular had partying become that Eldoret was been referred to as the ‘sin city’.
Party animals have since rated Eldoret as the third top destination – after the country’s capital, Nairobi and Naivasha.
But in recent months, the town seems to be going back to its factory setting – the hub for crusades.
This September, Eldoret is set to host two major crusades that will be presided over by international preachers.
Coming up from 8th to 10 September 2023 is the Healing Jesus Campaign.
The crusade which will be held at the Huruma Grounds daily from 4 pm will be presided over by Dag Heward-Mills, a Ghanaian religious leader based in Accra, Ghana.

Heward-Mills is the founder and presiding Bishop of the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches, formerly known as Lighthouse Chapel International and the United Organization of FirstLove Churches.
Holy Ghost Fire Africa Tour
Once the Healing Jesus Campaign Eldoret ends, next up will be the Holy Ghost Fire Africa Tour by Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne.
It will be a one-day event that will be staged at the Eldoret Sports Club.
The first Lady Mama Rachel Ruto is among the high-profile leaders expected to attend, alongside several popular Kenyan preachers.
Dr Rodney Howard-Browne is on a 6-week gospel crusade across the continent of Africa and Eldoret is one of the stops he will be making.
Well, perhaps these upcoming two major religious events will be a turning point for Eldoret to be shed off the ‘sin city’ tag.
