Police Officers in Turbo Sub County have arrested a man suspected to have brutally killed his lover.
Tapsagoi sub-chief Isaac Bett told Uasin Gishu News on Tuesday that the suspect Edwin Kipchoge committed the heinous act on Monday night.
The man is said to have cut off the woman’s head and went away with it.
Police have since arrested the man, but the woman’s head has not yet been found.
It is suspected that the incident is a result of a love triangle.
“The incident happened at Kaptebe village at around 8.30 pm. The man cut the woman’s neck and went away with the head,” the Sub Chief narrated.
“Up to now, the head is yet to be traced,” he added.
The chief further noted that the deceased has been married to another man but was in a relationship with the suspect who is now in police custody.
Police have since launched investigations into the circumstances that led to the incident.
This is even as they interrogate the suspect to provide details of where the head is.
He is expected to be charged with murder once police complete their probe.
