The newly completed Langas Police Staff Quarters in Eldoret City, is now ready to be occupied.
Finalized in March 2025, the staff quarters is part of the government’s continued commitment to the implementations of the reforms within the National Police Service (NPS) aimed at enhancing the welfare of officers.
How many units are at the Langas police staff quarters?
The facility comprises 60 modern residential units, 12 two-bedroom houses and 48 bedsitters.

According to the government, police officers serving within the Kapseret sub county have already occupied the building which is now providing them and their families with decent and dignified housing.
To support sustainable living, a 50,000-cubic metre water tower has also been installed, with a lower tank capacity of 30,000 cubic metres and an upper tank of 20,000 cubic metres, ensuring a consistent and reliable water supply.
“This development aims at improving the working and living conditions of officers while strengthening their capacity to deliver quality policing, which is vital for the safety and security of the fast growing City of Champions,” said a statement from the Ministry of Housing.

The latest development has been welcomed by the Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi.
Impact if new Langas police staff quarters
In a post on his social media pages, Sudi said the structure will help boost morale of police officers and subsequently Eldoret’s security.
“Eldoret City’s safety just got a boost with the completion of the modern Langas Police Staff Quarters, a commitment to officer welfare,” the MP said.
He also noted that the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) had also already renovated the Langas Police Station, “showcasing the power of collaboration between the Interior Ministry and Kapseret NG-CDF initiatives in building a safer, more prosperous community.”
