The multi-million-shilling St John Amani Centre in Eldoret City is almost ready to open its doors.
Located at the Sacred Heart Cathedral of Jesus compound, the Ksh 420 million project will be dedicated on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
The dedication event will be held at Mother of Apostle Seminary, Eldoret.
According to a poster seen by Uasin Gishu News, the event will also be a thanksgiving celebration of Coadjutor Archbishop Dominic Kimengich.

Currently, final touches are ongoing for the project financed by the Eldoret Catholic Diocese. Major construction works have already been completed, with painting on the final phase.
Construction for the 8-storey commercial building started in December 2021.
Why Eldoret Catholic Diocese named its commercial building St John Amani Centre
The structure sits on the grounds of the first church at the cathedral, St John, which was demolished to create room, which informed its naming.
In addition, the project is in honour of the late Bishop Dominic Kimengich and his work in preaching peace in Kerio Valley, hence the name, ‘Amani’, translated to peace.
“This building will keep reminding us of the work that the church needs to do to restore peace in Kerio Valley, and advance for unity and cohesion amongst all Kenyans,” Bishop Kimengich said during the groundbreaking ceremony late in December 2021.
