The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) has requested the church to conduct special prayers at the AIC Kapsaos Secondary School in Uasin Gishu County.
In a letter to the African Inland Church (AIC) Eldoret Area Church Council, KUPPET Uasin Gishu Executive Secretary Elijah Kimeli Maiyo says teachers at the school have reported experiencing unexplained spiritual attacks while at the principal’s office.
“On behalf of the above-named school, I write to request for special Prayers to exorcise traces of malignant spirits in and around the principal’s office and the administration bloc,” read part of the letter.
One witness, the letter seen by Uasin Gishu News notes, claims to have entered the office and shocked to find a teacher was crying and the principal in extreme laughter.

“Others have claimed to have seen strange creatures and images in the principal’s office,” reads the letter dated March 16, 2023.
Headaches
The KUPPET Uasin Gishu boss further notes that several teachers at the school have reportedly sought medical attention, only for tests to return no symptoms for any ailment.
“Many of them suffer from acute headaches and withdrawal syndrome,” Maiyo says in the letter copied to the Uasin Gishu County Health Chief Officer.
Further, the KUPPET official says the school principal Benina Soi had issued a directive for all staff meetings not to start with prayers – which to her were not part of the agenda.
“I wish therefore, having earlier been informed of the principal, a MS Benina Soi to allow staff meetings to start without prayers, which she determines were not part of the agenda, to request for divine prayers of His Lordship the Bishop, on 28th March 2023 at 1pm-2pm,” the KUPPET official says in the letter.
“Teachers from neighbouring schools will be in attendance,” he adds.

AIC Kapsaos Secondary School is in Kamagut Ward, Turbo Sub County.
