President William Ruto’s Personal Assistant Farouk Kibet has held a consultative meeting with grassroots leaders from Turbo Constituency as focus shifts to 2027 politics.
Kibet, who is widely mentioned as a possible contender for the Turbo parliamentary seat, met MCAs and other aspirants on Tuesday morning, September 8, 2026, at his Chepsaita residence in Uasin Gishu County.
The meeting brought together leaders from all six wards of Turbo Constituency — Tapsagoi, Kamagut, Kiplombe, Ngenyilel, Kapsaos and Huruma.

In a post on his official social media pages, Kibet said the engagement focused on development and the political future of the constituency.
He said the leaders shared ideas on how to boost civic participation in the region.
“We shared ideas on how to increase voter registration in Uasin Gishu County and the need for our people to actively participate in shaping the leadership and future of our communities,” Kibet posted.
The call for increased voter registration comes at a time when the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is expected to roll out a mass voter listing exercise ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Uasin Gishu County has been identified as one of the key battlegrounds in the Rift Valley, with leaders racing to mobilize new voters, particularly the youth.

Kibet has in recent months intensified his grassroots activities in Turbo through his Chepsaita Cross Country initiative, church fundraisers and education scholarship programs that have benefited over 5,000 learners.
His slogan “Turbo Kwanza, Mambo Baadaye” has gained traction in the constituency.
Although he is yet to formally declare his candidature for the Turbo seat currently held by Janet Sitienei, political observers say Tuesday’s meeting is a clear signal of his growing influence in local politics.
