The county, in the notice, noted that the initiative is entirely free, with no monetary contributions required from the traders.

However, the county administration emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, adhering to the law, and ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the city.

The free trading opportunity will run from December 21st, 2024, to January 3rd, 2025.

Governor Dr Jonathan Bii Chelilim, in the notice, encouraged all traders to take advantage of this opportunity and assured them of the administration’s support.

This initiative will provide a much-needed boost to our local traders, allowing them to thrive in a supportive and organized environment,” stated Governor Chelilim.

The county government’s initiative is expected to foster economic growth and create a more vibrant business environment.

By offering this free trading period, the administration aims to attract more traders and customers to the Central Business District, enhancing the overall economic landscape of Uasin Gishu County.

We believe that this move will not only support our traders but also bring more business to the area, benefiting the entire community,” the county boss added.
