Dr. Reuben Kigame and his wife, Julie Kigame on Saturday night, June 13, 2026, graced the Inganji Gala hosted at the picturesque 1:12 Stones Gardens in Bujumbura.
The event brought together artists, dignitaries, and well-wishers in support of vulnerable communities in Burundi while celebrating excellence in the arts by recognizing finalists in music, videography, and cinema for their outstanding contributions to the creative industry.

Among the distinguished guests was the Tanzanian Ambassador to Burundi, Gelasius Gasper Byakanwa, who commended the initiative and highlighted the transformative role of the arts in society.
In his address, Ambassador Byakanwa made special mention of the significant impact that the music ministry of Dr. Reuben Kigame and the Sifa Voices choir has had on him personally and on many people in Tanzania. He praised their music for inspiring faith, hope, and unity across the region.

The Inganji Gala successfully blended philanthropy with artistic celebration, showcasing the power of creative expression to inspire change while supporting those in need. Organizers thanked all partners and attendees for contributing to the success of the fundraising initiative and the recognition of artistic talent.
The evening concluded with renewed encouragement for greater regional collaboration and continued investment in the arts as a vehicle for community development and social transformation.

The gala was part of the annual Inganji Festival, a week-long gathering that brings together Christian leaders, gospel artists, filmmakers, musicians, content creators, and other creatives from across the region for fellowship, mentorship, celebration, and community impact.
The festival concludes tomorrow, June 15, with the final activities marking the end of this year’s celebrations.
