Photos: Uasin Gishu Asphalt Production Plant Now 90% Complete

The ongoing construction of an Asphalt Concrete mixing plant in Eldoret City by the the County Government of Uasin Gishu is now 90 per cent complete.

According to Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim, the plant will play a major role in helping the devolved unit to have more durable roads and reduce the cost of road maintenance.

Uasin Gishu County Executive Committee Member for Roads, Transport and Public Works Abraham Serem said once complete, the plant will automatically position the county as a model for benchmarking for neighbouring devolved in the larger Western part of Kenya.

Serem added that the project will also boost the economy, enhance agricultural activities, and enable residents to access essential services more easily through an improved road network.

The Asphalt Plant is located in Baharini area on the outskirts of Eldoret City.
