The County Assembly of Uasin Gishu early this month vetted and approved the second batch of Chief Officers that were nominated by Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim.
Chelilim had nominated an additional 7 Chief Officers to fill positions that were still vacant.
The governor had initially nominated 13 Chief Officers.
With both batches approved by the Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), and following an earlier approval of the County Executives Committee Members (CECMs), Chelilim’s government is now almost complete.
The remaining appointment is for the Directors of various departments.
But as we await the names of Directors appointed to serve in the various dockets, here is a look at the full list of the Uasin Gishu Chief Officers.

It has 20 individuals, among them seven women;

- Mary Chepkogei Kerich – Energy, Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources
- Joyce Sang – Promotion and Preventive Care
- Paul Wangwe Ongeti – Clinical Services
- Marion Birigen –Public Service Management
- Abdirahman Mohammed Sankor – Partnership, Liason and Linkages
- Eliud Kipkorir Chemaget – Finance
- Elijah Koech – Agriculture and Agribusiness
- Nixon Cheplong – Livestock and Fisheries
- Julius Koech – Housing and Urban Development
- Ruth Samoei – Education and Vocational Training
- Eunice Jemutai Suter – Gender, Social Protection and Culture
- Nahum Jelagat Tirop – Youth and Sports
- Felix Kimaru – ICT, E-Government and Innovation.
- Mark Some – Administration and Devolution.
- Elphas Kesio – Trade, Industry, Investment and Tourism.
- Geoffrey Kirwa Tanui – Cooperatives and Industrial Development.
- Victorine Jepkorir Kapkiai – Economic Planning.
