Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Kipchumba Murkomen, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, presided over the official opening of Serani Mall in Eldoret City.
The mall is located within the lush Elgon View Estate.
It currently hosts businesses such as Kipchimatt Supermarket and Republic Lounge Royale, offering retail and dining options in a modern setting.
Who owns Serani Mall?
While sharing photos of Serani Mall’s opening ceremony, CS Murkomen said High Court judge Hillary Chemitei owns it.
“I joined the family of Justice Hillary Chemitei, his wife, Rose and leaders in opening Serani Mall in Eldoret, a significant addition to the growing number of investments in the city,” the CS said.
“I congratulate my friend and mentor on this bold investment, which comes with employment opportunities and will contribute significantly to the economic growth of the region,” he added.
According to Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim, Serani Mall is a landmark investment that stands as a strong vote of confidence in Eldoret city’s economic potential.
“Eldoret City continues to rise steadily as a vibrant business hub, driven by our deliberate efforts to create a secure, efficient, and investor-friendly environment,” Chelilim said.
“Through targeted policies, improved infrastructure, and enhanced public safety, we are laying a firm foundation that empowers enterprises to thrive, attracts new investments, and expands opportunities for our people,” he added.
Malls in Eldoret
The Serani Mall is part of Eldoret’s growing commercial landscape.
Other malls in the country’s fifth city are Rupa’s Mall, Highlands Mall, Zion Mall, and Eldo Centre Mall.
Construction for a new Simba Mall is also at an advanced stage.
