Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich has handed over an ambulance to Kapsowar Health Facility, enhancing medical service delivery in the area.
This move is expected to significantly reduce patient referral costs and improve emergency response times. The ambulance will ease patient transfers to Iten County Referral Hospital.

The handover is part of Governor Rotich’s efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
Other initiatives include commissioning key roads and health projects, inspecting ongoing works, and providing medical equipment to local hospitals.
According to Governor Rotich, the ambulance will help improve referrals for patients.

“This will enhance medical referrals and emergencies,” the governor said.
“We also had a free medical camp where doctors from Kapsowar Mission Hospital joined our medical team where over 500 people were screened,” he added.
