Key Medical Units at Burnt Forest Sub County Hospital Handed Over by Contractor

Medical services within Uasin Gishu County are set for a major improvement. This is after a contractor delivered crucial units of healthcare services at the Burnt Forest Sub County Hospitals.

Officials from the Department of Health Services received the units on Thursday.

The units included those for Intensive Care Units (ICU), High Dependency Units (HDU), and Outpatients Department (OPD).

Delivery of the medical units marks a significant milestone in the efforts to enhance healthcare services in Uasin Gishu County.

While receiving the medical units, Clinical Services Chief Officer Dr Joyce Sang expressed her gratitude to the contractor for the delivery of quality works and their adherence to the stipulated timelines.

She also acknowledged the importance of timely and high-quality construction and installation of healthcare infrastructure to ensure the provision of efficient and effective healthcare services to the community.

The addition of ICU, HDU, and OPD units to the facility is a significant step towards improving patient care and outcomes because these units play a critical role in caring for patients with severe and life-threatening conditions by providing them with specialized medical attention and monitoring,” said Dr Sang.

She further noted that the successful completion and delivery of the units aims to enhance the quality of healthcare services, improve patient outcomes, and ensure that the community has access to the care they need.

Burnt Forest Sub County Hospital serves locals within Ainabkoi and Kesses Sub Counties.

The facility also offers key services to victims of accident due to its strategic location along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway
